Orcan Intelligence are partnered with a leading cloud consultancy who are looking for a freelance Data Solutions Architect to design, develop, and implement a new cloud data warehouse solution on GCP. The project will involve architecting a scalable and performant data warehouse, integrating data from various sources, and optimizing data performance. This is a 12 month initial contract and will be 100% remote working and the customer is working in English. 

Responsibilities:

• Design and architect a scalable and performant cloud data warehouse solution on GCP.
• Develop robust data models and schemas.
• Design and implement data integration strategies.
• Build efficient ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Establish data governance frameworks.
• Optimize data warehouse performance.
• Lead the migration of existing data warehouse systems to GCP.
• Provide technical guidance to data engineers and analysts.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Data Solutions Architect or Data Warehouse Architect.
• In-depth knowledge of GCP data warehouse solutions (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow).
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data governance principles.
• Experience with data integration tools and technologies.
• Familiarity with SQL, Python, or other programming languages.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and effectively within a remote team.
